Food was good (as usual with the chain), service great, and close to the hotel. Great place for a quick bite and you don't have to spend a lot of money. Very clean and well kept.

We were looking forward to eating at a Baja Fresh since there are no longer any where we live. Well, we waited for dinner hours, walked over to the restaurant, and there was an apologetic sign on the door stating that the place has JUST closed for good! They were selling/cooking-off the last of their food before closing the doors as we were making our way to it. It was kinda crazy how that worked out. So sad to see another Baja Fresh close down.

Endless chips, salsa bar, and a variety of fast food options including tacos, burritos, rice bowls. I had the shrimp tacos which were excellent. They came with black beans and rice.

I am a big fan of Baja Fresh and have eaten at few of their franchisee locations elsewhere. While my recent visit to National Harbor, I felt eating here would be safe bet. I was expecting the price to be higher than another Baja Fresh (in Sterling) where I eat quite often. But to my surprise, the price was same. Unfortunately, that surprise didn't last too long. When they called my number, I didn't see (free) chips with my meal. I realized that this particular location doesn't provide free chips with your entree. And when I checked the price of chips, it was 5$. That's when I realized how expensive this place was (relatively speaking). Well, nevertheless, at least the ultimo burrito and burrito bowl could have saved the day. But alas it wasn't meant to me. I didn't say anything about whole wheat wrap and I got one. The size of burrito and the portion size of my wife's burrito bowl was almost cut down by 30%. I said to my wife, probably folks in the kitchen were watching out for our health. Even the grilled veggies were not grilled. So, my theory that no franchisee can mess up the simple items on Baja Fresh's menu fell apart. I should have listened to reviewers on Yelp. Oh well, at least, you have been warned. Walk for 3-4 minutes and eat at Potbelly instead. I think Freshii (next door to Baja Fresh) is also sub-par dining option. Owner(s); If you are reading this, take some advice from the folks who run Sterling Baja Fresh. You might have a chance to stay in business.

From Our Editors

Following Baja Fresh’s ethos set in 1990 as a healthy take on fast food, fresh meats sizzle atop the grill before they're tucked into made-to-order tacos and burritos. Grilled corn and flour tortillas embrace fish, carnitas, chicken, and steak, and smoky queso fundido slides onto nachos and into burritos. Between bites of entrees, chips scoop up salsa made from farm-fresh produce rather than poured out of a can or fabricated in a space-age replicator. A complimentary salsa bar ensures no mouthful goes unspiced.
