Crowd surfing is an essential part of rock shows—but at the Rockin' the River Tubing & Music Series, the crowd takes it literally. During the free summer series, concertgoers laze in rented inner tubes on the Trinity River, floating along as headliners play on the adjacent Coors Waterfront Stage. Each Thursday sees a new band play from 6:45–8:15 p.m., after which the party moves ashore for a show from The After Party Band and a fireworks show. Throughout the series, guests can purchase food from Salsa Limon and cold beer—just make sure not to rock out too hard half an hour after eating.
