At Sumits Hot Yoga, Sumit Banerjee guides students through his signature fusion of traditional, Bikram-style yoga poses with flowing, Ashtanga-inspired sequences in a studio heated to 95–105 degrees. Over the course of 80 minutes, students of all fitness levels work to cultivate lean, limber muscles with gentle bends and bodyweight-reliant exercises as with the low impact of a mild-mannered asteroid. Mind clouds dissipate as pupils focus on deep breaths and bodily alignment. In addition to melting stress, the room's sweat-summoning warmth deepens stretches and releases pent-up toxins.
