Thunderbird Executive Inn & Conference Center is located on the former site of Thunderbird Field, a historic airbase in central Arizona. During World War II, the airbase trained American, Canadian, British, and Chinese pilots for combat. Today, it’s home to the Thunderbird School of Global Management which according to U.S. News & World Report 2013 is ranked #1 in "International" full-time MBA and you can still see the original control tower and airplane hangars on the campus.
The hotel was designed with business travelers in mind—its guest rooms have free WiFi and roomy desks, and it features 40,000 square feet of meeting space. There are plenty of places to relax, too, including a lounge with a pool table and an outdoor pool. You can also request a visitor’s pass, which unlocks access to the management school’s fitness center, fitness courts, and lobby.
