Nice place. Small, but friendly folks working there made it fun. They had a really nice patio area that you could bring a packed lunch and enjoy. We did that and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing with our lunch and the bottles of wine we bought.

Small place so not many people can wine taste at the same time but it has a good patio space outside that is relaxing.

We had been planning to visit a local winery for some time now but did not know of one that uses organic/ sustainable farming practices. We were so happy to find out about Benjamin Vineyards & Winery. The staff were very nice and the owner himself gave the vineyard tour. He was very nice and knowledgeable, freely answering all questions and even telling how to prune vines for best production. Their selection of wines is varied and all delicious. We were surprised to see our favorites were only $9. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the vineyard and plan on visiting them often. We are going back to pick our own grapes after Labor Day.

From Our Editors

Creeping across a 5-acre swath of the Haw River Valley, 16 varieties of grapevines sprout from fertile, sandy soil, twisting their leafy arms around trellises and soaking in the lush, grape-growing climate. Benjamin's artisan enophiles hand pluck each of the muscadine, french, and hybrid grapes that blanket this vineyard. The grapes are escorted into the afterlife inside fermenting barrels where they live on as red and white wines for every taste—from dry dinner varietals and sweet country classics to seasonal bouquets. The whole creative process is observed by spectating visitors who wind through the idyllic facilities on self-guided tours—often including picnics on the winery’s covered porch, or perusals of of local art at the gift shop.

As an ecofriendly facility, Benjamin Vineyards & Winery employs sustainable practices, such as composting agricultural products, recycling bottles and other reusables, and growing plants with nightly bedtime reading instead of pesticides.
