About this Business
Immerse yourself 260,000 gallons of wow and voyage into jaw-dropping underwater worlds. Enter a Seahorse Temple and come nose to snout with these beautiful creatures. Be surrounded by schooling fish in a 360-degree experience. See some of your freshwater fishy friends and turtles in the Mangrove Forest and more! No flippers required.
Seahorses, on the other hand, swim in open view. So does other marine life—especially once you enter the 360-degree ocean tunnel, which simulates the experience of walking across the ocean floor. Blacktip reef sharks roam overhead and flash their teeth at the cownose stingrays, who appear to smile back. The Claws exhibit features different crustaceans from around the world including mighty coconut crabs, unique porcupine crabs, lively land crabs and even lobsters. The exhibit also features Japanese spider crabs, the largest arthropod in the world, with legs that can reach 12-feet across when fully grown.
The aquarium's more interactive attractions explain what makes undersea life so appealing. At the touchpool, for instance, education hosts explain the lives of coastal creatures, letting visitors touch everything in the exhibit, including sea stars and hermit crabs.
Even though SEA LIFE spans 30 displays and thousands of sea creatures, only so many creatures can call the aquarium home. To help marine life outside its walls, SEA LIFE runs and participates in many different conservation campaigns and programs. SEA LIFE aquarium rescues seals, finds permanent homes for disabled sea turtles, and breeds seahorses to protect these endangered species from extinction.
SEA LIFE Aquarium is conveniently located between Dallas and Fort Worth in Grapevine Mills Mall.
