A horrible experience. I usually take my phones to CPR repair and i had been satisfied, until this last trip. ;
10/20/19 - dropped my phone off the Emily and Ben at the desk. My screen was shattered at the bottom, and the screen was black. I could not enter my passcode. Luckily I had turned on voice over text so that it would allow me to use some features. Ben made not that the screen was black.
10/20/19 - My mom picked up my phone as they indicated it was ready. Of course they gave her the phone, she did not check anything, as we have never had an issue with them in the past. To my surprise when I got off work and grabbed the phone, the phone was still black and doing the same thing it was when I gave it to them, EXCEPT it has a new screen. This was 9:30pm they were closed and I didn't think they were open on Sunday.
10/22 Called at 10:05am to Emily and expressed my disbelief and concern. She asked me to bring it back, and that they never give phones back that are not repaired. I let her know I had to work 9am to 9pm so I'd have to have it dropped off on Tuesday. She said ok,
10/23 - My mother dropped phone off and either Matt or Randy retrieved it. They already had the code to my phone, but the next thing you know, I call and they said I had some sort of additional security and they could not get to the phone with the PC and its asking for you to Trust the computer, etc. I tried to explain to to "randy" "matt" or "mike" voice over, but they acted like I knew nothing about what was going on and asked that I come unlock the phone. I couldn't get there until the next day, so they had it ALL day.
10/24 - I get there at 6pm and emily gets the phone and still there is the black screen. Ben comes out and says, much to my surprise as a technician, I though you had put it on some setting to disable the screen for the visually impaired. EXCUSE ME?? first of all, that feature does not exist and secondly, if I was visually impaired, why would i care about what shows up or doesn't show up on a screen. Get a clue. He didn't offer to try to open the phone and check anything and said "well what do you want to do at this point because our work of fixing the screen is done. I was totally upset. He said no one really told him why I was coming to unlock the phone, to him the phone was fixed (screen).
10/25 I called and Randy answers and I explain the issue to him, and that I had brought my phone there multiple times. I asked him to please not disregard what I was telling him, but apple was concerned about the screen that was added (I went there after I left CPR on Monday). He said I have fixed multiple of your phones, and replaced some ports because it wouldn't connect to any of our software. FUNNY, I had no problem especially since I knew of voice over text. He said the best I can tell you is to call and talk to the manager tomorrow. No apology , and acted as if it was my fault that I paid them to do such a horrible job and that my screen was still black.
10/26 - called to speak with the manager Matt twice. Not available.
I purchased a groupon for Indy Cellular 4 less. I called and they gave me multiple acceptable reasons that could lead to this. Oh and BTW, they also concurred there is no such setting on the Apple phone Ben!
Save your money. They may be able to do simple work, but when there is an issue, they make up things that make no sense, and lack in customer service in dealing with situations. I will NEVER use there services. Not even to fix their mess.
