I really enjoyed the Imhotep's Potion Juice. It was great, now I don't have to drive to New Haven for a healthy juice.

Had a great lunch at the Salad Palace! It's a bright sunny spot in the heart of Whitneyville. The salads were extremely fresh and delicious!

From Our Editors

The Salad Palace is a paragon of balanced eating that came about due to the owner's past health crisis. In 2012, Travis Pittman was diagnosed with nasal carcinoma, a rare form of cancer. At the time, his diet consisted largely of processed, unhealthy foods, so he decided to make a major change. Pittman credits his renewed commitment to healthy living—along with radiation therapy—with his successful recovery.

Nowadays, he operates the small eatery known as The Salad Palace, which sprouted from a home-run business making smoothies and salads for delivery. Guests pair fresh juices and wheatgrass shots with vegan, vegetarian, or omnivorous salads, like the kale, red onions, glazed walnuts, strawberries, and mango of the Infinity's Delight. Others stop in specifically for the smoothies, which are thick with fruits, veggies, and powerful superfoods such as turmeric, bee pollen, spirulina, flaxseed, and moringa.
