From Our Editors
Quite literally, Vanguard Race is about conquering obstacles, such as inverted walls, rope swings, balance beams, cargo net climbs, vertical wall traverse, and more. The course challenges participants with over 25 physical obstacles. But it also brings participants face to face with their inner obstacles, the hurdles standing in the way of personal change—be it lack of confidence, physical strength, motivation, or determination.
By organizing obstacle-course races that can be fun and challenging for the whole family, Vanguard Race helps participants prove to themselves that their goals are not elusive. Those aged 14 and older push their limits physically during the Elite 5K course or 5K Open Waves while youngsters 8 and older enjoy the Kids Fun Run to learn a little something about fitness and perseverance. With family and friends cheer them on, participants can foster a sense of accomplishment long after they've reached the finish line, even if they don't finish in the top ten. Each participant receives a custom finisher’s award and event shirt as well as admittance into the post-run festival.
