What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Better Bodies' trainer, Susan Ottey is both a certified athletic trainer and strength and conditioning specialist. As a former Division I athlete, her drive and ambition are contagious. She has helped clients of all levels surpass their goals and become a better version of themselves.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Often clients, especially women, don't realize how strong they really are. With the right coaching, education and motivating environment, nothing is impossible. Every day we work on progressing ourselves not comparing to others. When you make yourself a priority, you begin to realize your potential.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I worked in sports medicine but always had an interest in strength and conditioning as well. The connection between the two fields is critical to acknowledge. I realized my potential for helping others and love seeing my clients reach their goals. Nothing feels better than seeing them succeed.
What do you love most about your job?
Educating my clients rather than just giving them a workout. Most trainers try to make their clients dependent on them where I love to teach them how to succeed outside of my training sessions. They see better results, are happier, smarter and loyal clients.
