THE WAY THE GROUPON READ IT SEEM LIKE WE WOULD BE ABLE TO TASTE TEST THE FOOD (WE HAD TO BUY THE FOOD AND THE SERVINGS WERE SMALL), HAVE LIVE MUSIC BUT THE MUSIC DIDN'T START AT 7PM (IT STARTED 2 HOURS LATER). IT WAS ONLY THE ENTRY FEE AND WE PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE GONE SATURDAY. BUT I WAS FROM OUT OF TOWN AND DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. I THOUGHT EVERYTHING WAS VERY HIGH IN PRICE. PEOPLE WERE FRIENDLY BUT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER ON FRIDAY NIGHT.

The admission fee of $20 did not include anything. If you wanted to "taste" anything, you had to pay for it and the price for tasting was really high. I will not recommend or return to this event.

They was sealing the tickets at the same price of groupon $10.00. The festival was not big to charge for the entrance.

We went on Friday night, it was terribly disorganized and the food was terrible, cold and tasteless, it looked like mom and pop had cooked it at home, nothing professional or sanitary about it. There was a couple when we where arriving that asked for their admission money back! There was nothing to do and no place to sit if you wanted to listen to the music. I really would like a refund if possible.

Very disappointing experience. At best it was a "Block Party" and not a festival as played up to be in the Groupon. Purchased four VIP passes and all of us were disappointed. Small event food was fair and the VIP tent was not worth the money.

A rip-off, I paid $50.00 VIP coupon and there was nothing else than cheap hard liquour drinks. and and a band playing salsa. It was worst than the free Calle Ocho parade or Carnival parade.I had to pay for expensive lousy food. I am cuban-american and I took several American friends to "have a taste of Cuba" and I felt very much embarrased. Nothing of what I expected about a little bit of Cuba. Regular entrance was $20.00 to see what??? Never again and do not recommend it at all. Maggie De Castro

Great location and atmosphere.. definitely will return again next year. My kudos to all that made this event happen. For this being the 1st annual festival it was very family oriented and controlled. Good Job.

There wasn't a lot going on. It was pretty bare and food and drinks were expensive. I would not go there again

Horrible event. Cheap liquor, nasty food, power outage you name it.

From Our Editors

Per its name, the Taste of Cuba Festival shines a spotlight on traditional Cuban food—potato-like yucca, rice and beans, and lechon asada, or shredded roast pork. Ice-cold mojitos complement these classic dishes, along with café con leche and authentic cigars rolled by hand, unlike the newfangled ones that roll themselves if left at the top of a hill. The festival delights senses beyond taste, too; revelers can dance to live music or feast their eyes on Cuban artwork.
