Love Valley, located at the foot of the Brushy Mountains, is a quaint town modeled after an Old West settlement. Automobiles aren't even allowed within city limits—residents travel by horse, carriage, and wagon. The Love Valley Roubaix, however, doesn't strive to be so charming.
The 50-mile cycling race's scenic course is inspired by one of the oldest cycling races in the world: Paris–Roubaix, also known as "Hell of the North." Chip-timed cyclists will cross the finish line streaked with grit, grime, and sweat after conquering paved and packed-dirt roads at varying elevations. And it's just the first race of six in the Appalachian Grinder Series, a challenging task set by Blue Mountain Revival Productions.
