Hadn't been to Bridies in almost a year and was so sad to see it in decline. Don't want to beat anybody up but if you want honest feedback here is what I saw that turned me off: 1. Getting the stare-down from the creepy lady sitting at the first booth (if this is you sorry, try smiling). Made me feel immediatley uncomfortable and scrutinized right off the bat. Not the first impression you want to give. 2. While the space may be clean it doesn't appear so. Lots of trash, napkins, straws, food on the floor along with the chipped table tops wasn't good. Lastly, the salad I ordered, Irish cobb, didn't list maccaroni but showed up full of it. No one wants to be blindsided by an unlsted ingredient especially one as sensitive as pasta, you know, the whole gluten thing. 2.

Noisy if you're in the room with kids but there are 2 other rooms, ask to sit elsewhere. Good atmosphere, good service.

Had been there several times in past - this time was a disaster. Took almost an hour to get a corned beef sandwich (first lost order; then got order wrong). Not a very positive experience. A shame - it's a cute place

From Our Editors

The Irish words inscribed above the main door of Bridie McKenna's––"slán abhaile"––mean "safe home," a phrase brought to life by the restaurant and pub's welcoming servers and friendly bartenders. The kitchen sends out traditional comfort foods starting with the hearty all-day Irish breakfast comprised of bacon rashers, baked beans, black and white puddings, and sautéed mushrooms. Irish classics such as corned-beef sandwiches, shepherd's pie, and lamb stew also extinguish appetites alongside 21 beers on tap and an array of single-malt scotches. The strains of Irish or contemporary live music can be heard near the open fireplace several evenings a week and karaoke enthusiasts come to show off their best microphone juggling techniques every Friday.
