This place has excellent sushi. The beef and asparagus appetizer is AMAZING. We asked the server for suggestions and EVERYTHING she gave us was great. We have gone to several sushi places and this one rated in the top 3 in quality/taste. Everyone complains about the service and be advised it is a slow. It think they are a family run business and don't hire many employees which causes the back up. That being said, they were very nice, extremely generous and one of the best experiences we have had. If you are looking for a quick dinner this is not the place to go, but if you have time to sit, socialize and have a leisurely dinner I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

When i made my reservations, the person on the phone was rude telling me when i could come to have dinner because i was using a groupon. The food, service and ambiance were mediocre too; having to ask the waiter for something he forgot. Not a place a would go back to.

Poor poor poor service; wrong orders; repeated requests for tea that were not fulfilled; long waits although not that many other diners; miscalculated the bill; forgot to return my cell phone that waiteess took for Groupon; no accommodation for excessively long waits, poor service. Too bad. A local place with not bad food. Not my first choice for return.

From Our Editors

Upon a marbled wall, a Japanese triptych mural tells the story of a gargantuan fish licked by cerulean waves and a tiny boat tossed about in its wake. Even though this vibrant piece reflects a chaotic scene, the sushi bar where the owner and head chef crafts creative rolls and maki is anything but—he’s a seasoned artist with more than 15 years' experience slicing, dicing, and coiling. He carefully furls Alaskan king crab, shrimp tempura, and sweet chili sauce and creates tantalizing nigiri and sashimi with freshly carved squid and freshwater eel. Bartenders, meanwhile, pour wines and sakes to complement the chef's mouthwatering Japanese cuisine.

Sunlight pours through ground-to-ceiling windows, streaming across hardwood floors and dark wooden tables that friendly servers speckle with dishes of aromatic steak teriyaki and tempura udon soup. Diners can enjoy these exotic feasts amid the contemporary yet casual dining room’s traditional folding screens and bamboo accents or, when the extraterrestrial overlords who control the weather permit it, outside on the patio.
