Bear Transmission’s ASE-certified mechanics revive shopworn engines with oil and transmission fluid changes. Each oil change outfits vehicles with pristine new filters that strain particulates and other contaminants from quarts of fresh standard oil, lubricating engines’ delicate parts to reduce wear, strain, and restless piston syndrome. During the transmission service, techs hone in on the hydraulic system, whose specialized transmission fluid helps regulate clutches, planetary gear sets, space telescopes, and other nuanced machinery. After mechanics remove and inspect transmission pans for metal shavings or other signs of damage, they select and insert new fluid according to manufacturers’ specifications and cars’ favorite flavors, leaving vehicles road-ready and purring.
