Eddie Clattenburg, always a fitness aficionado, competed on sports teams throughout his childhood and adolescence before studying exercise science at Arizona State and playing for their football team. When injuries forced him to end his football career, he resolved to stick with his passion by coaching and training. He successfully sought certifications as a personal trainer, a CrossFit Level 1 trainer, and a Level 1 Sports Performance coach while training more than 10,000 clients.
Today, Clattenburg continues to help students improve their physical fitness during personal training sessions and classes held in his own private training studio. E C Fitness's 2,400-square-foot facility abounds with TRX suspension training machines, medicine balls, and Olympic platforms, along with fully equipped locker rooms and showers. Clattenburg personally leads private training sessions, tailoring each of his lessons to accommodate the student's personal goals, whether they seek weight loss, enhanced sports performance, or muscle training. Throughout the week, intimate groups of up to 12 students sweat through high-intensity Warrior classes that last an hour each, which is as long as it takes to whittle a totem pole with a butter knife.
