We thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of neat information and guide knew what she was talking about. I did notice one small thing. Somehow I do not remembering seeing in the fine print area that that they allow group ons for Sat use only. Also there is a$1.50 tax and doesn't include gratuity.

This was a history tour not a ghost tour. Not what we were looking for. We wanted to have fun & it was not. Left half way through the tour.

With all the rich history of Galveston I was expecting more. It was quite boring, the stories were lame. Was very spooky & not much info on paranormal activity In the area.

My friends and I had a great time for the Groupon price, but agreed that we might have felt overcharged at the regular, asking price.

This was one of the worst walking tours I have ever done (having done several along the east coast as well as here in Houston). The guide seemed uninformed, stories didn't have a specific beginning, middle, & ending, & I learned nothing about the historic aspects of one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city (& the one in which I live). I went home & researched Heights ghost stories on my own, & learned more in 20 minutes than I did in the hour & a half we walked around on this tour. Truly disappointing- especially since I had brought friends along for a birthday-evening-out.

We went with a large group in the Heights. We bought a 10 group and we went and the experience was terrible. The tour guide was unprofessional, stories were unclear and back tracked, facts were jumbled. Terminology used did fit and pronunciation was not correct. My friends and family we brought we disappointed. We wrote a letter but over all service was awful.

I felt that the tour was rambling and made up.

The tour itself was great and very informative. I do think that the poor guide needed help having everyone sign the waivers and collecting money before the tour. She was quite overwhelmed and clearly needed help at the very beginning with this. Some patrons became impatient and it was really not her fault. I had a a great time overall.

This was terrible!! The Groupon add did not describe our situation. There was about 43 angry patrons there last night. It was supposed to start at 8, but it took Linda, not Jan the book writer, 1 hr. to sign everyone in. Then another 15 minutes stall time to wait for late people because she changed the meeting area last minute! People asked for a refund and she apologized and said ,"I'm willing to do go an extra half hour if you are." so she would have counted off her 2 hour tour, which was described in groupon, She said it was 90 minutes!! We actually started the tour at 9! She would stop us on street corners and the traffick was so loud no one could hear. Her stories jumped around a lot and did not coincide with the building we were at. She blamed her confusion on the big crowd , and her change in the meeting place! She was so scattered in the stories!! We finished around 1030, only because we had to wait for a wedding ceremony to finish , we were made yo be spectators at a bride and groom walking out of the ashton manor ( this was the best part of the tour) ,so she could finish telling the story at Ashton mansion....again, as that was the first 20 minutes of the tour!! This was such a scram! My 8&9 year old kids, as I bought a tour for 4, we're bored!! So she wouldn't give refunds, we had to tolerate the tour, scattered stories, not the book writer, constantly announced, "if you bought a groupon you have to pay $1.50 per person!", 1 hr 15 min late, we missed a movie we were going to watch.......needless to say, I will tell EVeryone I know that Ghost Tours of Texas is a scam!!!!!!' terrible and extremely dissatisfied !!!!

The tour guide was a very good story teller! I enjoyed listening to him about the history of the houses we went too & some of Galveston's history as well. :)

From Our Editors

The ghastly guides of Ghost Tours Texas lead groups of foolhardy interlopers on story-filled journeys past the spectrally inhabited landmarks of Galveston and Houston Heights. On the Galveston tour, a knowledgeable leader takes parties through the Silk Stocking District to visit the 1858 Ashton Villa mansion, whose second floor is occupied by the phantom “Miss Betty” Brown, and whose basement is occupied by a man who years ago forgot how to work a doorknob. The guide also divulges tales told from eyewitness accounts.

The Houston Heights tour winds through the area's historical and opulent homes, exploring such mysteries as the story of the Dean Correl murders and the children who are said to still haunt the alleyways of Houston Heights. Guides weave tales of ghostly possessions and evil voodoo dolls peppered with real-life testimonies from local residents.
