When the owners of Just Poppin Gourmet Popcorn moved from Chicago to Texas, they loved everything about their new home, even the hot weather. But there was just one aspect of the Windy City they couldn't bear to leave behind: the popcorn. The family decided that Stafford might actually enjoy the sweet and salty snack and decided to take matters into their own hands and got poppin'. Today, staff at Just Poppin air pops kernels in small batches––a technique that doesn't rely on heavy oils–-and eschews powdered cheese for real cheese sauce, which they use to coat the kernels in their Pleasy Cheesy mix. Other flavors include popcorn coated in a blend of pecans and caramel, chocolate drizzle, or butter, as well as a Crazy-Pleasy mix featuring a classic Chicago-style blend of cheese and caramel corn. Custom tins are also available for customers who want to surprise someone with their three favorite popcorn mixes or a snack that doubles as an industrial-chic footstool.
