In 1965, Roger Kane Sr. purchased a 60-acre farm on which to raise his six kids, one of whom went on to found the Pompositticut Farm Day Camp when she was still a student at Concord Academy. Since then, the camp has earned accreditation from the American Camp Association.
At the horse-focused summer camp, the instructors offer daily English riding lessons with the camp's large stable of horses, as well as a outdoor activities that range from the ropes-challenge course to swimming to archery, and artistic pursuits that include theater, music, and dance activities. Kids ages 4–16 can attend the day camp, and kids ages 9–15 can opt for the Heels Down camp, which includes full days of mounted and unmounted equestrian activities.
