Absolutely love the float tank experience at Buoyance. I signed up to be a regular client and have been using the float for 6 months. It is one of the best things I have done for my body and mind! Highly recommend. They are highly experienced with float therapy and have taught and guided other centers around the US.
The salt fried my hair. I wouldn't recommend this experience to anyone. Just meditate at home, with your cat, and it will be better.
I just had the most amazing experience. It was so natural, holistic and serene. I went to Bouyance in Huntersville, and experienced my first float.. I imagine this is what we all started out like in our Mommy's bellies. No wonder we all come out screaming. I feel the world is moving so fast around me right now.
Do the float tank and really relax!
I had such an amazing and relaxing time here! I was running a little late, but Sesal (sp?) and other staff member were both very relaxed and flexible to my needs and energy The 30 min massage with Sesal was like heaven He was open to my deep pressure request and kept it consistent throughout the session My knots feel non- existent right now3 hrs later :) Now, the salt water tank was a new experience I was nervous, but the staff member reassured me and opened a little vent to shine a some light in It didn't take long before I fell asleep Wow I'll be back!!
Float was amazing, so relaxed!! Only thing was couldn't get neck comfortable, the pool noodle for support was too thick so a lot of pressure on neck I just let me head float free but at times I was so relaxed my head dipped pretty low into water I also got ansy around 45-50min mark, so for me 60min was a tad too long
Arrive early and be prepared to relax I was bloated the day after from the salt but it went away quickly
It was an ok experience. I felt the session was too long and I would suggest music while floating. I realize it supposed to be sensory deprivation but I was more relaxed with music than without. I also wish there was an area to dry hair afterward. After having a session you must go home afterward.
You are in an enclosed tank Based on pictures I was not prepared for that Staff was very accommodating Most likely will go back!
From Our Editors
A traditional spa may relax you, but it can't make you feel as if all the weight has been lifted from your body, even if it briefly convinces your boss you need a break from the piggyback rides. Buoyance Inc, however, can. Its Oasis floatation-therapy system relies on almost 1,000 pounds of Dead Sea salt in purified water to buoy up bodies, causing them to feel completely weightless. Further contributing to the relaxation are the temperature of the water and the flotation-tank design.
The water is heated up until it's the same temperature as the body, making it hard for floating patrons to sense where their body ends and the water begins. The tank is made of insulated fiberglass, which blocks external stimuli, including light and sound. As a result of all this, minds deeply relax, muscles loosen up around the spine, and bodies may begin to heal and repair themselves.
Though Buoyance specializes in flotation therapy, it also helps people zone out with a variety of massages and rejuvenates skin with PCA facials and body peels.
