I purchased a 17$ Groupon that said it was a 35$ value. When I arrived to drop off my puppy and told them that I had a Groupon they told me that the grooming was 45$ and my Groupon was only good for 17$ and that I'll owe 28$ to get my puppy groomed. I was like "no, that's not how Groupon works." I went back and forth trying to explain that if I paid 17$ for the Groupon, it's worth double or 35$, minus the 45$ that they charge for the grooming would only leave 10$. The young man (dressed in faux leather outfit, hat turned around backwards, with dingy nails, and ungroomed face, and tattoos all over hit neck and arm) was persistent in me paying 28$.
I felt like I was being taken advantage of. Even if the owner/operators do not have a clear understanding of the way Groupon deals work, that is not my responsibility, as the consumer. That is poor business relations.
The only positive, is that I love my dogs cut. He's so handsome. However, there are numerous groomers that will cut him in such cuteness for 45$. (The young man at the desk said (nice/nastily "This is why we don't do Groupon anymore. We still have to accept the ones people have bought, but we didn't renew with them.") I have absolutely NO intention on returning there or paying full price for their services.
I won't even judge the outside appearance of the building; however, I will say that whoever is in charge of their marketing/appearance needs to be set free to pursue other endeavors because the place is dingy looking and EXTREMELY hard to find!!!!! The sign is FADED and you'd miss it 10x over if the older lady that works there didn't say it's across from the Subway and beside the Liberty gas station on Jordan Lane and if you get to Plummer Rd you've gone too far.
I can't neglect to mention they NEVER answer the phone!!!! You can't leave a message either. I just kept calling for 2+ weeks until I got someone on the phone. The phone courtesy is poor also. They act like they're doing you a favor by booking your appointment.
Hmm what else? I don't want to waste this honest energy. When it was all said and done and I had grown frustrated the young man at the counter told me not to worry about paying the difference and that I could just come pick up my furson when they were done, before 5pm.
I hated not seeing the area in which my baby was being kept FIRST, before turning him over. Plus, the groomer that intercepted my son to take him to the back didn't listen to me. I told them that there was food in his bag and to only feed him that because he has allergies, but yet they told me when I picked him up that they didn't feed him and he was there ALL DAY!!!! I know they didn't give him water in HIS water bowl because it had not been used!! PLUS, on top of all of that, I told them to use his shampoo, that I provided, because he had severe allergies, and they did not. He came home smelling good, but it wasn't the fragrance of his 25$ per 8oz shampoo that is PRESCRIBED by the vet!!! Therefore, he's been itching and scratching since!!!!
