Great information. The owner made the class very fun. Wide selection of great beers. Wine side was not as impressive.

Love cork and barrel. Learned new things about wine. I love the tasting nights without a commitment to the whole bottle. Then you can enjoy the real wine you like.

Skip and Dawn are AWESOME people!! Their shot is an AWESOME place to hang out and pick up some amazing wines and beers. They also have GREAT taste in music as exemplified by their love of the band Tasmanian Grace! :)

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. The instructor was very friendly and knowledgeable. Finding out that Java Stout and peanut butter cookies were a wonderful dessert, fabulous.

From Our Editors

Across Cork and Barrel’s shelves, cubbies, and barrels repurposed into tabletops sprawl bottles of all kinds. Labels hint at the European and American provenance of a huge selection of wines. Notes of red peppers, chocolate, or fruit wait to leap from adventurous small-batch craft brews, from saisons—light Belgian ales—to potently hopped double india pale ales. Beer-brewing classes introduce the art of combining barley, hops, water, and yeast, and guests in art classes sip wine while swirling blues and greens for landscapes or portraits of Gumby weeping.
