My friend and I attended the cooking class. The chef is very enthusiastic about cooking and most significantly about good nutrition and a balanced lifestyle. The class was very enjoyable, as was the food, and if you're willing to listen to a nutritional lecture you'll enjoy this event.

The class was not about cooking at all but rather the chef's "interesting" perspective on music, the color theory of food, alcoholism, and the flaws of traditional medicine. The food was so so at best, he burned the baklava and then asked for 10% tax on the Groupon paid directly to hi. I left irritated and out $100.

We really enjoyed the cooking lesson at Saffron Café but we were disappointed though because we did not get to actually cook and that is what we thought we were buying. We only watched the chef and his assistant cook. The Chef is very knowledgeable about food and nutrition and the food was delicious but they are interested in you having them as a personal health consultant. Just to manage expectations, it should be clear on the Groupon that you are watching a cooking demonstration, not learning to cook yourself despite the fact that you are given an apron when you arrive.

Great food, but the class isn't a cooking class. It is a lecture/sales pitch for integrated nutrition and whole foods and health coaching. No actual cooking, not sure why they even hand out aprons. The Chef discusses ingredients and vague techniques, but all of the cooking is done by an assistant in the kitchen (where I would have liked to be). Skip the class, eat at the restaurant instead.

Amazing Experience!! I would take this class again and again. You don't just learn how to cook Morrocan food, you are also introduced to nutrition. Enjoyed Chef Sentessi, his passion and wisdom! My only recommendation is to book early! Since there is only one class per month, they fill up very fast- so you may need to look at booking months later that you would have planned or wanted. Worth the wait!

Not only was the food great, I learned so much about how food and the body work. Well worth it!

This is not really a cooking class but more of a cooking demonstration. The Chef and Sous Chef did all of the food preparation. I didn't touch an ingredient during the four hour session. Most of the time was spent with the Chef lecturing us about pseudoscientific "diets" like the blood type diet and the alkaline diet. Then when it came to the end of the class, the Chef told me that tax was not included in the groupon and an additional $15 in tax was to be paid on top of the $169 I had paid for the groupon. This is something I have never experienced with a groupon before. The food prepared tasted good, but I left extremely frustrated that I paid $185 for a meal for two and to be lectured for four hours about fad diets that have no real foundation in science. WARNING: This "class" is not as advertised.
