Go early as some of the vendors when we arrived were shutting down. We arrived close to 5pm. We also could not find where to get our bands. Lines were long, but shorter by the food area

Taste of Indy was more like street vendors but more bland food.

Poorly organized. Food too expensive. Vendors promised on website were not there.

Very expensive for food. Thought it would be a little taste of one kind and a little item from another to be able to taste several different items. One place ran out of food and another didn't know what to do and this was 11:30AM. Need more varietie.

When we got there, we had to wait 20min. in line if you had a coupon. They had 3 lines, 1 for credit and 1 for cash, plus the coupon line, which was very long and the other 2 were much shorter. I don't know why they didn't have more people taking coupons? It was ridiculous! Also, they didn't have enough water and soft drinks. At 6:00 those soft drinks vendor's where out, only unchilled water. Another pet peeve was no water to wash your hands at the toilet stations, yuck! We, also thought there wasn't enough diversity in the food lines. Sorry, but we were disappointed!

Food quality. Have actual restaurants participate, just not food trucks. That's what Food Truck Fest is for.

From Our Editors

A pinch of Mediterranean. Equal parts Asian and Greek. A dash of soul for good measure. Though its recipe is far from exact, the Taste of Indy brings a spread of culinary traditions into one single celebration of food on Monument Circle Fourth of July Weekend. The festival's edible offerings come from more than 40 of the city's most unique restaurants, giving visitors a chance to taste the city without licking the state capitol building. The idea is to promote good food and healthy living, something that the over 12,000 attendees from 2016 can attest to. As a distraction from the non-stop munching, attendees can catch live, local artists playing everything from R&B to reggae, watch chefs share their tricks during interactive demonstrations, and visit family-friendly attractions that keep even the youngest of visitors entertained.
