I had a good time at Taste of Indy, but It was crowded and also somewhat expensive if you wanted to try numerous foods. The Groupon was a good deal for the money and I might not have gone otherwise.

This place was entirely too packed to enjoy. We had to pay an outrageous amount for parking because there was nothing close and cheap due to several events going on at the same time. Also, the line to get in was long. We won't be back.

Each ticket is worth a dollar. All vendors only take tickets. Most food items were between 3-5 tickets.

Go early. Many booths were out of food by 6pm. They were also out of soft drinks and only had water available. The wine and beer was pricey.

a few quaint places in indy were represented. definitely a fun outing, but very hot....no shade in the area of the festival.

More vendor booths would be nice (crafts, jewelry, artwork, etc). More breweries and wineries. The band set up area was nice.

It was more of lunch food truck than a taste of Downtown Indy restaurants.

I know that Taste of Indy is new, but I wish there were more food vendors with a wider selection of food. This will most likely improve in future years though. The groupon itself was good and did save money and allowed me to experience Taste of Indy (when I otherwise probably would not have gone)

Next time would do without the kids. Not a lot for them to do. Too pricey without Groupon, too.

From Our Editors

A pinch of Mediterranean. Equal parts Asian and Greek. A dash of soul for good measure. Though its recipe is far from exact, the Taste of Indy brings a spread of culinary traditions into one single celebration of food on Monument Circle Fourth of July Weekend. The festival's edible offerings come from more than 40 of the city's most unique restaurants, giving visitors a chance to taste the city without licking the state capitol building. The idea is to promote good food and healthy living, something that the over 12,000 attendees from 2016 can attest to. As a distraction from the non-stop munching, attendees can catch live, local artists playing everything from R&B to reggae, watch chefs share their tricks during interactive demonstrations, and visit family-friendly attractions that keep even the youngest of visitors entertained.
