Wear your sunscreen! Tickets for food are one dollar a piece and each food item ranges from 2-6 tickets. Great way to spend the afternoon!

Better/more food vendors. There was only a fraction of the advertised vendors present. Not overly organized. No diet drink options. Has great potential but this was a disappointment

Great time, but bring sunscreen

Half the vendors were out of food when we visited. The other half wanted way too many tickets for "sample sizes." I would think the point of the event was to feature and promote goodwill to a lot of the mom and pop type restaurants, etc. so that patrons will want to go to their actual establishments in the future.

Most food items at Taste of Indy run about 5 tickets. So plan on having to buy more tickets once you are there.

The Taste of Indy was over sold and as a result under delivered. The lines for the food were very long and many items were sold out. It was extremely crowded. The set up was not well thought out. The food area needed more space for lines and such.

Be prepared to buy at least $20 in extra tickets per person to really taste a variety of food. Tastes are an average of 5 tickets each.

From Our Editors

A pinch of Mediterranean. Equal parts Asian and Greek. A dash of soul for good measure. Though its recipe is far from exact, the Taste of Indy brings a spread of culinary traditions into one single celebration of food on Monument Circle Fourth of July Weekend. The festival's edible offerings come from more than 40 of the city's most unique restaurants, giving visitors a chance to taste the city without licking the state capitol building. The idea is to promote good food and healthy living, something that the over 12,000 attendees from 2016 can attest to. As a distraction from the non-stop munching, attendees can catch live, local artists playing everything from R&B to reggae, watch chefs share their tricks during interactive demonstrations, and visit family-friendly attractions that keep even the youngest of visitors entertained.
