When seven-year-old Tonnie Rozier realized he could stretch his sweets budget further if he learned how to bake, he probably didn't think he had just found his future career. But he kept his hobby up, began selling cookies by the bag to his coworkers at the Boys and Girls Club, and soon enough he was spending his nights filling major orders for companies such as Barnes & Noble and Bon Appétit.
When Rozier moved to New York, it was only natural that he make the switch to baking full time. The result of that switch is Tonnie's Minis Cupcake Bar, where Rozier's tiny cupcakes practically explode with flavors such as red velvet, tangy guava, and raspberry brownie. Most famous of all is his carrot cake, beloved by everyone from Fox 5 NY to Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs. So, why all the love? Perhaps because it can't be found anywhere else—Tonnie keeps the recipe secret by personally baking every single one.
