From Our Editors
Each year since 1965, a dedicated team of interior and exterior designers completely renovate an architecturally significant estate. As soon as the owners step out, the team takes over, and in less than three months time, they overhaul the showcase house from the foundation to the shingles. Homeowners, designers, and simply curious visitors can marvel at the meticulous work, which often blends historic and modern elements to best bring out the home's character. Throughout the showcase, designers are on hand to discuss the products and techniques used in developing the home. After exploring the grounds, guests can dine at the gourmet on-site restaurant, which also serves beer and wine, or visit Shops at Showcase, the collection of boutiques, each with unique merchandise and memorabilia. The proceeds from each project are donated to support local music and arts programs.
The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that also supports a wide variety of music programs in the community, including three of their own music programs, Music Mobile, Youth Concert, and Instrumental Competition.
