The Capital EX Monster Truck Show sates appetites for destruction with high-flying, car-smashing pickups of enormous proportions, attracting attention from the Edmonton Sun. Like a predator hawk in the cage of a giant hamster, each 12'x12' behemoth perches atop 66-inch wheels, flying up to 35 feet in the air when startled. Gaze in veneration as the custom-designed machines rip across the ring at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, flying the length of 14 side-by-side cars when they encounter an obstacle. Fans will shriek as the metal beasts approach smaller, shier vehicles, demand their lunch money, and pummel them with more than 10,000 pounds of weight. In addition to flexing their crushing muscles, the three-day event will host races between Herculean four-wheelers such as the Triple X from West Virginia, the Ice Monster from Michigan, and the Flying Monkey from the Land of Oz.
