Elma Ann Thiem loves feeling fit and healthy, but—like many people—finds conventional exercise a little dull. Instead of pounding her soles on some treadmill, she twists her heels in upbeat Zumba classes, which she leads twice a week. Her classes have an easy learning curve: students simply watch what she's doing and copy it. That's why she invites students of all fitness levels, from the tragically uncoordinated to hula-hoop world champions.
