The delicate French pastry known as the macaron is all about savoring life's little luxuries. The tiny, airy French cookie made from ground almonds and meringue delights mouths with its lightly crisped, yet chewy shell and jammy center. Fillings may also incorporate rich ganache or cream, making the cookie pack quite the flavor punch despite its small size.
At Le Macaron, the pastry chefs whip up such colorful macarons as the lavender white chocolate, lemon cream, Madagascar black vanilla, and rose petals. The gluten-free confections are the star at each of the shop's locations across the country, but gourmet chocolates, croissants, and pains aux chocolat can be found nestled beside the cookies.
