The experience was not as described in the summary. The submarine was not actual submarine as the Groupon picture showed. It was an extremely small space with no A/C so the instructor added a small fan which did do anything but blow hot air since it was very hot that day. A chum was used to keep the fish near! Not at all what I expected.

This is perfect for people that are not experienced divers or knowledgable about the ocean or sea life. Definitely use the coupon! The experience is like no other.

My 7 year old son loved the experience. We rode a boat to the lagoon where the "submarine" was and then my husband and son climbed in while i waited and relaxed on the boat. My son drove it and had a ball. The owner Andy and his son were very nice and we all enjoyed our time. If you have 5 to 10 year old children they will absolutely love it. Highly recommended, it's a neat experience.

Well I purchased this for my girlfriend birthday so I was expecting something amazing even had myself excited and all thinking a was going to see all types of spectacular sea animals in the Florida Keys. Then dreams got crushed. First off for me to pay $174.00 on Groupon for an 1 hour tour, but to get there and see a sign that said "2 hour tour $45 per person" which made me wonder why they probably redeemed my order before I got there. I arrived early being that it was a 2 hour drive to get there. I was scheduled by them to meet at 3:00 for our tour. They didn't arrive until 3:40. I let that slide due to someone working on the harbor advising me that they were probably out on a tour already and that they pick you up on a boat and take you took where the sub is located. We took our short boat ride to where the HMS Discovery was located. Once there we got in the sub and traveled around this secluded area where the water was beige and murky. Expecting bright blues ocean water with starfish, sharks, multi-colored fish and corral. Nothing at all, it was like a swamp tour. The water wasn't that deep nor did have much to see. Only thing we saw were one type of fish and jellyfish about the same color of the water. This area had sunken boats around it that had algae growing on it that I guess was supposed to be their coral reef. When I asked if there was anything else to see he jokingly talked about some toilets that were thrown overboard to show us as a part of our tour. By that time my decision was made. By 4:25 it was, "thank for choosing the HMS discovery this concludes our tour for today." I guess boat ride was a part of tour time not HMS discovery time. The only positive thing I can say it that guide had some humor. Tour Sucked! So it wasn’t worth it to me, very disappointed.

Owner was very friendly and trip was kinda fun but even with the groupon I don't think it was worth the money. I thought the sub would dive down and we would see multiple sea life. But that was not the case. We sit in a below water glass dome but it never dives. The owner sits above you in the open air and you see small snappers and maybe jellyfish Which you can see from any boat I'd rather have spent my money on another sea sport activity.

From Our Editors

On the HMS Discovery submarine, a 360-degree window surrounds its captains, allowing them to see ocean life such as tarpon, sharks, and bubbles. With the help of an expert sub pilot, two first-time explorers can navigate the easy-to-use joysticks to control the vessel and chart their own unique underwater journey.
