The offer of the Groupon was for a value of $44. Yet, the actual value to have the exact same tea without the Groupon was $30. There also was a service charge added of 20%—which did not make sense at all. So, the supposed value of an $18 savings, turned out to be $4, and then I tipped on top of that $6 for the $30 value. The waitress was terrific. The food was good, we had a good time with the experience, but knew it was not the value stated in the offer. Wystone's cororate office used trickery to make it seem like it was a better offer than it really was.

My wife took three friends. She and one friend said their berry-flavored tea was bitter. The food was marginal and the atmosphere was like a Whole Foods industrial setting. My wife understands high tea; we just returned from a Princess cruise where we attended one and she attended 5 high teas on our Transatlantic cruise on the Queen Mary in 2013.

There was no Devonshire cream.....and it was requested the standard 48 hours ahead of time. They really shouldn't offer the Tea if it has to be brought in

High Tea it is not! The food was mediocre, it's a tea shop that mascara des as a place to have High tea. I left a tip on the table for the value received. Upon leaving I was told I had to leave 20%. When I handed over $6 for a $5.19 tip no change

The food was obviously "day old". The quiche and salad were not part of the groupon which initially was a nice touch, but the quiche was hard and dried around the edges...either it was day old or microwaved too much. The "High Tea" portion was what I anticipated, but again, the items were day old. The egg sandwich filling was dark yellow, all the sandwich bread was dried, and the cheese cubes were discolored and hardened. The tea and scone/clotted cream were the two highlights.

I bought a tea time for four as a birthday present and service was terrible, food was terrible, and buying a Groupon for 50% off I still do not think the value was there for what we paid. The sandwich bread was stale, the sandwiches themselves were not good, and there was barely enough tea for four of us. We were hoping to sample or taste different teas, but you only get 2 options. I definitely will not go back there.

From Our Editors

Three green leaves and a small, blooming bud rest upon the globe. It’s an appropriate logo for Wystone's World Teas, given that they carry more than 150 loose and whole-leaf teas from around the world. These are the ingredients the tea bar’s teatenders use to craft beverages such as Japanese green teas. Tea also spills over into the bar's menu which includes a tea infused oatmeal, grilled pear salad, and turkey sandwich. The sweet notes of the beverage even flavor such desserts as the African Rooibos carrot cakes, which come topped with Caramel Rooibos–tea cream frosting.

Private and daily tea tastings give guests the chance to learn about the drink's preparation, origin, and three purest forms: dry leaf, infused leaf, and leaf that looks a little like Larry Bird. During these one-hour sessions, participants sip on five to seven different teas while snacking on chocolate, cheese, and fruit. Wystone also sells teapots and glassware in-store and online and gives back to the community by donating a portion of their profits to the local nonprofits they feature in their store on weekdays.
