Did not like the fact that they would not let you pick out your own cupcakes. They wanted to give you an assortment, their choice. I complained and they had to get the manager to approve me picking out. Would not go back. They were very friendly on a previous visit when we just walked in but not with the groupon.

Initially very difficult to make contact to place my order. Either no answer or messages were full. Tried for 3 days. Finally made contact and was placed on hold and forgotten about. Had to call back. Finally it all worked out and everyone was very nice and the cupcakes are wonderful. I was very happy with the gluten free cupcakes, too.

Cupcakes were good but were a bit dry for my taste, although the icing was delicious. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to choose the cupcakes I wanted but rather an assortment had already been set aside for me. I was also disappointed that I couldn't detect a PB Fudge in my dozen even though I ordered the cupcakes for a day when it was on the menu and was told 1 was in the box. I didn't realize they would already have been chosen for me or I probably wouldn't have gotten the Groupon since my kids are picky & wanted more of the "standard ones" rather than some of the featured flavors of the day. The salted caramel was my favorite.

cupcakes not moist, small, expensive, sandwich was good, but portion of coleslaw and piece of pickle tiny would have been considerate if they offered an extra something to people who made the trip there only to find them closed due to air conditioner problems

The owners were so fantastic. Not only are their cupcakes delicious but their customer service was superb. They are located over 25 miles from my home but I will be back.

Web ate the cupcakes as soon as we brought them home. The frosting was delicious but the cake portion of the cupcakes seemed pretty dry. I was actually wondering if they give Groupon customers the cupcakes that are leftover from the previous day. Not overly impressed. Plus I had no idea what I was biting in to until I tasted them. If they're going to pick your selection, it would have been nice to at least know what they were supposed to taste like.

The class size was too big for one person, should have had 2 people devoted just to the class alone. She was also doing counter work. The cupcakes were cute but not practical. I was more interested in learning the way they do them in the store. Maybe given a choice of the type of class. They should have had photos or an example we could see or take home. There wasn't enough frosting bags for each table to have their own. It was nice we all left with 6 delicious cupcakes. I wanted to know what type of frosting works the best. They should have been kept cook as they were melting and in bringing them home the frosting got messed up.

If I knew I wouldn't be able to pick out the cupcakes I wanted I wouldn't have bought the Groupon.

NOT friendly people--came back to the store a second time and cupcakes not available--had to travel 40 miles round trip three times before I received my order. Staff very hard to deal with. Would not go back--too bad because the product is good but costly.

From Our Editors

Michael Wulf came to an important conclusion at a young age. At the tender age of 18, he put his college plans aside in favor of opening East Aurora's first cupcake-focused bakery, which he named Swirls. What he perhaps wasn't expecting was a 35-person line out the door on opening day, and selling more than 1,000 cupcakes in less than four hours to excited customers and one famished bear. Swirls went on to sell 2,500 additional cupcakes that weekend, and has quickly risen to become a local staple for a sweet fix.

Today, with the help of Wulf's sifting and whipping bakers, he oversees a selection of miniature cakes churned out in daily flavors such as red velvet, signature chocolate, and black and white. A myriad of specialty cakes are available by the dozen, and rotate as daily specials in varietals such as boston cream, honey banana, and salted caramel.
