Sew-A-Lot binds central Kentuckians to their artistic ability with an endless tapestry of sewing supplies and classes. Sewing 101 schools needle novices on basic sewing vocabulary and culminates with the creation of two projects (March 9 and March 16 at 6 p.m., or April 30 at 10 a.m., $25 plus supplies), while advanced classes craftily cater to more seasoned seamsmiths. Convert old concert tees into a snuggly mixtape with the T-shirt quilt class (Tuesday, February 22 and Tuesday, March 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., $38 plus supplies), or hone chops and catch tears caused by slicing an innocent onion with a half-size cooking smock from the Kitchy apron course (Tuesday, April 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., $21 plus supplies). Meanwhile, people with names can immortalize their initials in the monogramming made-easy session (Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., $28, includes some supplies; embroidery machine not included).
