Way overpriced for what is served. The crab cake sandwich was mostly all bread. There was very little hint of crab. Mostly breading. Served an overly sweet coleslaw in a small cup on the side and then piled the same coleslaw on the sandwich. Disappointing for $15. The Bruschetta with fresh mozarella had only one flavor, balsamic vinegar and it was $15 for 4 slices. Overpriced. Best part of my meal was the fresh fruit plate that was an option to a big pile of fries. Good thing I was meeting a friend to have a girl's lunch, because it took us 2 hours to be seated, served and receive our bill, which we had to leave on the table since the waiter was too busy to provide service. He apologized at the very beginning, warning us there was a half hour wait because there were only 2 waiters to serve at that time and service would be slow. Shame on management for their bad service. Waiter was doing the best he could.

This is a very nice upscale restaurant in the heart of Lodi. A tablecloth and cloth napkin kind of place with a good selection of food and drinks reasonably priced for the type of restaurant. The server was helpful without being a pest!

The only recommendation would be to recover the seats (only) in leather so it would be easier to slide into the booth.

We ordered garlic fries because the waitress offered them as an option for our fries, but she did not mention the $2 each charge for garlic. That was a bit ridiculous.

From Our Editors

Chef Iradh Herrera is very particular about the ingredients that enter his kitchen. He bans canned vegetables or dried herbs from passing through the door, working only with organic local produce and fresh herbs. When discussing his reasoning with reporters from Lodi News-Sentinel, Herrera explained, "fresh herbs brings out more essence in the dish. Dried [herbs] you have to use more, and [they don't] have the same taste. You can tell." The skilled chef peppers free-range beef and natural meats with fresh basil, thyme, and mint to whip up a variety of seasonal American dishes, such as a decadent bacon-wrapped meatloaf and a succulent roasted lamb rack. He favors eco-friendly seafood as well, preferring to cook with fish that were sustainably caught on fishing lines rather than deceitfully coaxed onto boats with "free algae" signs.

While Herrera bustles about the kitchen, bartenders squeeze fresh juices into specialty cocktails and uncork bottles of fine wine. Diners chatter animatedly at white-clothed tables, while others bask in the sun on the outdoor patio. On weekends, the elegant eatery often plays host to live music performances.
