Lifelong artist Kristi Sutton Elias has more than 17 years of experience in mediums as diverse as drawing and sculpture. She combines photography and Photoshop to merge all her creative influences into a single visually inventive image. As a master photographer, Kristi has garnered many awards and has even been named California Photographer of the Year by the Professional Photographers of California and the Professional Photographers of America.
Her process begins at her studio, which overlooks the Queen Mary cruise ship and picturesque Long Beach Harbor. During each session, the award-winning photographer helps all her clients strike their most flattering pose. A week after the photo session, clients look over more than 100 of their portraits during viewing/ordering parties.
Afterward, she creates her masterpiece portraits by compiling her shots in Photoshop and creating dramatic, filmic images, such as youngsters paddling through stormy seas. She preserves her final pieces as framed masterpieces and also offers customized products such as memory boxes, which hold more than 20 portraits.
