When Cohen's Fashion Optical first opened in 1927, it wasn't much of a store. In fact, it wasn't a store at all. Founder Jack Cohen began selling fashion eyewear from a pushcart mixed in amongst Orchard Street merchants in Manhattan. Fueled by success and the fact that it was parked in Miracle-Gro, the cart quickly developed into a storefront on the corner of Orchard and Delancey. Since then, Cohen's has continued to evolve and thrive with more than 100 locations sprinkled in shopping malls and cities along the East Coast. At each, customers still experience what Jack Cohen built his company around nearly a century ago: quality service, and some of the industry's most innovative and fashionable eyewear.
