Food was good, beyond terrible service and not just at our table. Customers in the restaurant were discussing it openly between tables as they were dining.

Service! From before we walked in we were being watched outside and once we decided to go in the person greeted us by remarking "after some deliberation", as if we didn't have the right to decide to have brunch here or another place. When guests are seated they ask everyone who sits down if they have a Groupon and it made me feel like they otherwise wouldn't have any costumers. They then rather rudely point out the things on the menu which are and are not covered by your Groupon. The staff seemed nervous and flustered. The first time we received our French Toast it was so burnt it was inedible. To their credit when they saw we hadn't touched it b/c it was black they took it away and offered a new one, which was delicious. Lastly, I had to clean my own coffee cup which had leftover lipstick on it. Over all, the food is good, so I would go back if I thought the experience of eating there was better.

Watch out for the owner, the woman is very nice but the man in there is a real jerk, he act sarcastic and would even yell at you... however the food there is great. He loses a lot of money for his place, especially when a place like Cavo is right next door.

Service is terrible. We didn't get the mimosas that were advertised with the brunch on the Groupon and were charged for the coffee and tea that were purported to be "included with brunch" as stated on the menu. Never going back.

From Our Editors

L'Artiste Restaurant’s executive chef Luis Santos transplants French culinary style from across the pond to his warmly lit American dining room. He often kicks off meals with complimentary amuse bouches before presenting plates loaded with tender, finely cooked cuts of meat, such as filet mignon, lamb, or salmon. After a course or two of Mr. Santos’s savories, the talents of pastry chef Hicham Lamzaouri take over to treat tongues to a passionfruit parfait with blueberry confit or a passion fig tart beneath a dollop of crème fraîche.

L'Artiste’s intimate dining space ensconces diners in warm, yellow walls dotted with the glowing orbs of round light fixtures. A massive polished wooden bar dominates the center of the room, backed by crosshatched shelves capable of holding dozens of bottles of wine or an entire clan of meerkats in its ample cubbyholes.
