What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Unlike most car rental companies, we offer inexpensive short-term and longterm rentals without all the excessive fees. We also offer three different types of mileage programs to best suit your needs: pay per mile, 100 miles per day, and unlimited.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
699 Rent A Car sprung out of a mom and pop used car lot that was hit terribly by the poor economy. The owner decided to start a rent-to-own program almost 14 years ago, where every car was $6.99/day and $0.10/mile. The concept was a hit and eventually grew into a standard rent-a-car company.
What do you love most about your job?
We love getting to meet all the wonderful people traveling from all over the world to visit us here in Los Angeles. We take pride in our city and state, and offer our customers great recommendations of places to see and things to do.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
A couple of our longterm renters who have been renting for over a decade have told us they will never own a car again because we are significantly cheaper.
