Best deal in town for a dental

Despite the inconvenient location, I took a chance on this groupon because it was such a great deal. One of my dogs needed a front tooth extraction and a teeth cleaning. I bought two groupons because I wanted to get my second dog's teeth cleaned as well. The office was clean enough, the veterinarian was pleasant, but they were definitely running about twenty-five minutes behind or so (not enough of a reason to not recommend this place). The vet told me that one of my dogs had a terrible enough heart murmur that she didn't feel comfortable enough to put him to sleep. Totally fine. I don't want my dog to die. And she didn't charge me a fee to check him out which is good because it took all of two minutes. The second dog is healthy, but his tooth had started to rot and his gums had begun to recede. She drew his blood and told me they would call me with the results. A week and a half later on a Friday, I received a phone call from the receptionist who told me that my dog's liver enzymes were elevated and that they'd have to put him on a special diet and do some additional things to him before they would clean his teeth. I asked her to explain in further detail because there are several different types of liver enzymes that can be elevated and, depending on the type, I could understand what the problem was. She couldn't explain because she didn't know how to so she told me that she'd have the veterinarian call and explain. I waited a week, then two (when his tooth fell out while chewing on a bone), then through the holidays and never received a call. I emailed them to which I received an automated response that said to call the office because they won't respond to emails. So I called two days ago and asked what happened and the receptionist told me that the veterinarian was doing an exam and that she'd pull my dog's file and have her call me as soon as she had a moment. I still haven't received a call. I will never go back to this vet, I will never recommend this office and I feel as though I have been thoroughly ripped off. I spoke to four other veterinarians during this month and a half who all told me that the liver enzymes were likely elevated due to his dental infection. Putting him on a diet and whatever other "things" they were trying to do with him, fully knowing the situation, would have done absolutely nothing. Since I still haven't been able to get a hold of the veterinarian and I will not drive out of my way to not be seen, I am writing this to suggest that future groupon purchasers seek services elsewhere. Two hundred dollars is a lot of money to throw away.
