This unassuming restaurant located on Sawtelle Boulevard‰ÛÓan area that has emerged as a lively Little Tokyo West‰ÛÓis a low-key spot offering some of the best sushi in Los Angeles. The dining room is small yet cozy, and is accented with mostly modern art and a rough-timbered sushi bar. Prices are more reasonable than the trendier hotspots, although chef Ken Nabe‰Ûªs cuisine comes highly recommended by the city‰Ûªs top sushi chefs and critics alike. Traditional offerings like toro are first-rate, while inventive dishes like uni risotto and pan-fried monkfish salad are available on a seasonal basis. Finish your meal with one of Kiriko‰Ûªs house-made ice creams, which include creative flavors like sesame, brown sugar-ginger, chai tea and white truffle.
