At the family-owned and operated Si Laa, Thai cooking meets farm-fresh Southern Californian ingredients for a unique taste. Long banquettes along the center wall make for an almost communal-like dining experience, with separate tables on the other side of the room. A long central table on the right side of the room provides the perfect location for large parties to eat family style. Dishes like the spice Devil’s Noodles and Thai curry stand out on the menu, alongside appetizers like the Hidden Treasure (with shrimp, blue crabmeat, basil and chili coconut sauce). Even the desserts are comprised of fresh ingredients, including housemade ice cream, which comes as a three-scoop bowl with five different flavor choices.
