Food is amazing and the serving staff is really friendly. I appreciated the Chef walking around and checking in with the diners.

Very disappointing! We waited 40min for our meal & Our skirt steak was REALLY chewy & flavorless. To top it all off, our Creme brûlée was watery. I guess it was a blessing that the portions were small! Too bad...I've always a fan of this particular chef.

They are in the process of remodel that don't currently have live music. And the menu seems different maybe new chef. But you can still bring up to 2 bottles no corkage fee!

Unfortunately the revised menu is very small/limited and my girlfriend who has shellfish allergies couldn't find a single entree or small plate she liked or could eat. So it was wine and appetizers for her. Nice atmosphere, but overpriced for what we got and unfortunately we won't be going back.

Really disappointed. We eat out a lot in LA, and this fell well short of the standard in a great restaurant city like LA.

there were many tables available but they sat us in between 2 occupied tables. service was slow and the server was trying to be overly nice to cover up for the miserable experience we were having. The best employee here was the busboy, he was very attentive with clearing the dishes.

From Our Editors

Eric Greenspan, co-owner and executive chef of The Foundry on Melrose, may have earned a place on the Los Angeles culinary radar for his work at hot spots including Meson G, but his reputation also has national reach. Besides besting Bobby Flay in a 2010 episode of Iron Chef, Greenspan has auditioned to take over command of Kitchen Stadium himself, most recently on The Next Iron Chef: Redemption. The chef's ever-changing menus of a la carte delectables meld French, Spanish, and creative American influences, plated with a sophistication deserving of a Caravaggio still life. Prix fixe tasting menus take diners on expertly engineered tours of flavors and textures, and vegetarian options let herbivores join the experience.

Interior-design guru Sandy Davidson decorated The Foundry on Melrose with a comfortable, art-deco aesthetic, mixing warm, antique elements with industrial accents. Bands play on select nights as mixologists craft artful cocktails and pour glasses of fine wines.
