Tubing was horrible in the sense that front desk staff doesn't know how long it takes. No info shared unless you ask - some areas 20 feet deep! One sign for exit covered by trees. Staff is mainly high school students, they went back to school "early" this year. Cafe close, slide water area closed and more. Advised they will open on weekends when student workers are back. I brought a week vacation!

Very disappointed! We drove from out of state to this place the week before Labor Day only to find out that half of the rides/activities were closed. We were told that most of their staff was college students & they had gone back to school, so they were extremely short staffed & didn’t have enough workers to operate half of the attractions. Our kids were very disappointed!!!!🙁

Not a bad way to spend a day, but I recommend bringing your own food. The facilities or accommodations were a little sketchy. My 3 kids had a blast on the slides. We would definitely go back to spend a day in the sun.

We went on a Sunday ... the groupon did not state that slides and other activities close at 1 or 2 including the kitchen. Also the river tubing was not explained that it will take up to 4hrs. So we had to have the person bring us back which was an hour of drive time. This was not explained and I was totally disappointed and wish we never traveled to this.

The cabin was ant infested. The pool was filthy and the lake was covered in algae.

From Our Editors

There are bears at Jellystone Park in the Shenandoah Valley—two of them, to be precise. They hang around the flag pole each morning, loom during story time just before bed, pose for photos with children, and, almost always, dress in dapper neckties.

Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, Jellystone’s resident ursine population, welcome families to campgrounds that lie under a canopy of trees nestled on the banks of the James River in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rustically inclined campers can set up tents deep in the woods, and pull-through campsites offer electric, water, and sewer hookups. For camping with access to modern amenities, there are spacious cabins built to withstand the mightiest huffing and puffing from the mascots' cartoon enemies.

Pools, mini golf, and hiking trails fuel hours of family fun, which includes a chocolate-covered slip 'n' slide during the Chocoholic weekend and a treasure hunt during Pirates and Mermaids weekend.
