I am very glad with the results, Michelle and her staff are very professional and kind! The most important, she hears what you want and give you recommendations, I’ll definitely come back to this place! Thank you Michelle and Jasmin!

Amazing service and really professional girls. I have been in hair salons around the world and I can tell these girls know what they’re doing, from hair colour to haircut. I completely changed my look and i felt like they got me . So really, kudos to you guys!

Michelle is super chill and did a fantastic job with my color, trimmed just enough to give my hair more bounce while keeping the length and styled just right for my hair texture. Thanks again💫

Michelle is so sweet and a great stylist. I got a deep conditioning treatment, cut and blow out- love how my hair turned out!

Alla was skilled, thorough, kind and responsive to my needs and requests. Jasmine too provided a gentle and thorough wash. It was a team wanting to please! Thanks so much!

Ala took excellent care of me. She paid close attention to what I wanted for my single process and haircut and as a result the outcome was exactly what I hoped for. I will definitely go back!

Michelle did a great job on my bleach and tone, but she was honestly pretty rude and ended up charging me an additional $85. The $70 we agreed upon (but honestly, it's more like she pressured me into it) and then she had the nerve to tell me the additional $15 was for tax. I know taxes are high in NYC, but not almost 30%. Not going back because I'm not a fan of being scammed.

From Our Editors

Michelle M-Yan grew up in Armenia, so perhaps it's not surprising that she has something of an outsider's take on American fashion trends. After graduating from a beauty academy at the age of 19 and spending the better part of a decade honing her skills, she moved to New York City in 2004. Since then she's challenged the status quo of the American modeling and entertainment industries and explored new possibilities in the craft of hair styling, though she's never used a hairbrush to solve a murder. Her work includes smooth and silky manes, avant-garde coiffures knitted into swirling vines, and models who appear mummified by their own frizz-free locks. As the owner of Michelle's Hair Color Boutique, she continues to mold tresses with services such as highlights, color, keratin treatments, and perms.
