Having competed in triathlons, adventure races, and bodybuilding competitions, New Jersey Adventure Boot Camp’s owner Valerie Pawlowski takes getting fit seriously. In addition to being a certified instructor, she's a nutrition and medical-exercise specialist, which helps her motivate exercisers to lead overall healthier lifestyles. She helms a team of highly qualified and certified instructors in helping participants foster healthy, slim selves in high-intensity boot-camp classes. The four-week sessions—held indoors and outdoors—keep bodies engaged through varying routines to prevent workout burnout. One day participants might do pull-ups on playground equipment and jog up park stairs, and the next they might do lunges and heave weights or other tired boot campers until they get back on their feet.
