Marie Neugent’s all-inclusive approach to becoming a licensed massage therapist is echoed in her treatments. The Nationally Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, Massage Therapy Instructor, Reiki Master, and Certified Mind-and-Body Wellness Practitioner combines Eastern and Western modalities that provide clients with a whole body approach for healing the mind, body, and spirit.. That's all reflected in the name Touch of Healing, Marie's studio, which took third place in Massage/Reflexology for the 2014 East Valley Tribune Best of Mesa competition. It can also be seen in Touch of Healing's simple logo, two hands gently surrounding a red heart, which neatly captures the spirit of the massage studio.
Part of the studio's success might come from a customized approach to eliminating stress, muscle tension, and pain. It also might stem from the diverse staff. Marie is also Certified Mu-Xing therapy instructor and Holy Yoga teacher. She is assisted by a therapeutic reflexologist, deep-tissue specialists, Reiki masters, and shiatsu therapists. In addition to traditional massages, which include prenatal and deep-tissues sessions, Touch of Healing also offers Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage sessions, in which the practitioner uses her feet to glide over the clients' body, using overhead bars to distribute their weight as needed to delve deep into muscles. All services are backed by education about home care and routines.
