I did the Keratin, for the first time, and I loved it. Angelo was my stylist, and he explained step by step of the process. I would go back again.

Ask all questions that you may have related to price, product, service, etc., before sitting in the chair, so no "surprises" later. Act friendly and enjoy the day. I didn't have a negative experience and I didn't see any unprofessional behavior during my 2 hour stay. I saw someone cleaning utensils properly after each use (I'm a nurse) . They treated each other with respect while I was there. They were busy but the place wasn't noisy and very nice inside. Maria (my hair specialist) was very patient, gentle, knowledgeable and friendly with me. For what I noticed, they all speak English and Spanish. I will be back and I hope if you go, you have a positive and delightful experience as I had.

Miami Day Spa Guide

With white sandy beaches and pristine Atlantic water, the beaches of Miami are to the prime draw for tourists and inhabitants alike. So it’s no surprise, that Miami is also home to an array of spas that help clients get beach ready.

Take for example Uni.K. Wax Center. There, staff removes unwanted hair from all areas of the body using a special formula made from fragrant pine tree resin and beeswax, which helps soothe and soften sensitive skin. If pale skin has you shying from the ocean shore, head to Forever Tan, where the sun-kissed glows come courtesy of an organic solution applied by a certified technician. A bonus for those bearing all in a bikini: the solution helps camouflage cellulite and stretch marks, and a pH-balanced toner ensures it goes on without streaks.

While many spas in Miami focus on prepping you for a day in the surf, others have amenities that will steal you away from the sun. Who would want to leave the tranquility of the aquavana experience at Canyon Ranch Hotel and Spa where the progression of hot and cold treatments includes a journey into scented crystal steam room and the experience of a storm shower? From there, guests can journey inside the igloo, where artic mists of menthol, mint, and eucalyptus cool the body’s interior, preparing it for the heated rock beds in the herbal laconium, which help ease muscle tension and encourage detoxification

Guests of The Standard Spa Miami Beach get a similar experience in a hydrotherapy playground that includes a cold rain shower, Roman waterfall hot tub, and a Turkish Hamam. Meaning “spreader of warmth,” the Hamam is filled with heated marble and bellystone that guests may stretch across to ease tension. At Lapis, marble benches inspired by Hamams line the mineral pool, providing a soothing place to nap after a dip in the 92-degree waters, which are infused with skin-softening nutrients.

Of course, some spa rooms simply bring relaxation through the views they provide. The six VIP suites at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental may take top prize in this category: they provide sweeping views of the Biscayne Bay from floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests who reserve a suite for at least two hours also enjoy a host of additional amenities including complimentary hot tea and shortbread cookies.
