Situated 10 minutes from the shores of Lake Michigan and an hour outside of Chicago, Creekwood Inn's charming property recalls the elegant wood and stone manors of the English countryside. Some of the inn’s 13 comfortable rooms feature fireplaces, while others feature french doors with private terraces that overlook the surrounding 33 acres of walnut, oak, and pine forests. Guests can spend days strolling or snowshoeing on the forest trails, or fishing for organic sandpaper at the nearby Indiana dunes. At Kelly’s Table, the onsite restaurant, Chef Patricia Kelly Molden revises the upscale dinner menu with the seasons, prepping entrees such as wine-braised rabbit with summer vegetables or grilled cumin-crusted tuna paired with a mango-habanero salsa. The restaurant is open Wednesday–Saturday.
